The article aims to assess and explore sustainable and environmentally friendly approaches in Khadi manufacturing. Khadi, a hand-spun and hand-woven fabric, holds great cultural and historical significance in India. However, conventional manufacturing processes have raised concerns about their environmental impact. This article reviews the existing literature on sustainable methods in Khadi manufacturing and evaluates their effectiveness in reducing environmental footprints. The study identifies key sustainable practices, such as organic farming, natural dyeing techniques, and efficient water and energy management. The findings highlight the potential of these approaches to enhance the sustainability of Khadi manufacturing, contributing to a greener and more socially responsible textile industry.

The Quit India Movement, launched by Mahatma Gandhi in 1942, marked a crucial phase in India's struggle for independence from British colonial rule. This movement witnessed widespread participation and resistance across various regions of the country, including the Madras Presidency. This paper focuses on the Quit India Movement in the Madras Presidency, with special emphasis on the Rayalaseema region. Through a systematic analysis of historical records, primary sources, and scholarly works, this study explores the impact, strategies, and contributions of the Quit India Movement in Rayalaseema. The unique socio-political context of Rayalaseema and the local dynamics that influenced the movement's progress are examined. The role of prominent leaders, the nature of protests, and the challenges faced in organizing and sustaining the movement in Rayalaseema are also discussed. This study sheds light on the significance of the Quit India Movement in Rayalaseema and its contribution to the broader freedom struggle in the Madras Presidency.

This article presents a biographical analysis of political prisoners in the Andaman Islands. The Andaman Islands, located in the Bay of Bengal, served as a significant site for the incarceration of political prisoners during various periods of colonial and post-colonial history. Through a comprehensive examination of the life stories and experiences of these prisoners, this study aims to shed light on their motivations, ideologies, and the impact of their imprisonment on their lives. The analysis draws on historical records, memoirs, and interviews to construct a detailed narrative of the political prisoners in the Andamans. The findings provide insights into the diverse backgrounds, political affiliations, and struggles endured by these individuals, contributing to a deeper understanding of the history of political dissent and resistance in the Andaman Islands.

This study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the journal to explore historiographic trends. The analysis covers a specific period and examines publication patterns, authorship trends, and citation patterns. The findings reveal a growing interest in the history of science in India, with an increase in the number of articles published over the years. The topics covered in the articles are diverse, reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of the field. Collaborative research efforts are observed, indicating the importance of interdisciplinary approaches and knowledge exchange. The citation analysis highlights highly cited papers and the interconnectedness of research within the journal. Overall, this study provides insights into the historiographic landscape of the IJHS and contributes to the understanding of the evolution and impact of research in the history of science in India.

This article, based on historical and anthropological sources, ethnographic materials, highlights the issues of understanding the genealogical identity associated with the genealogies preserved by the Uzbeks and their kinship system. Various ethnographic groups of Uzbeks, ethnocultural structures such as clans (generation, clan) and the processes of their manifestation as a single cultural unit in the same historical space and time are analyzed.
