Zoonyms figurative language semantic potential

This study investigates the multifaceted role of zoonyms (animal names) as figurative language devices, specifically focusing on their semantic and pragmatic potential in Uzbek literature. Beyond their literal denotations, zoonyms serve as powerful tools for creating vivid imagery, conveying complex emotions, and reflecting cultural values. This research explores how zoonyms, through their semantic fields and pragmatic implications, contribute to the aesthetic and communicative impact of literary texts. By analyzing the interplay of denotation, connotation, and cultural associations, the study aims to demonstrate how zoonyms enrich the expressive power of Uzbek literature and contribute to the construction of meaning.
